The 2024 INDY NXT by Firestone season doesn’t start for nearly another five months, but the first sneak preview of the field for the INDYCAR development series will be offered Friday, Oct. 20 during the Chris Griffis Memorial Test on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.

A bumper crop of 21 drivers from six teams will turn laps from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on the 14-turn, 2.439-mile road course that incorporates portions of the famous IMS oval. The test is named in memory of Chris Griffis, the team manager of Schmidt Peterson Motorsports who passed away suddenly in September 2011.

Live timing and scoring of the test will be available at racecontrol.indycar.com.
