Ricardo Escotto is rejoining Juncos Hollinger Racing for the 2026 INDY NXT by Firestone season.

Escotto, 21, from Mexico, competed with JHR during a five-race stint in mid-2024 before contesting the majority of the 2025 schedule with Andretti Cape INDY NXT. Escotto rejoins JHR as it prepares for its return to INDYCAR’s development series.

JHR brings a strong pedigree back to INDY NXT. The team captured championship titles in 2015 and 2017 and has amassed 18 victories, 18 pole positions and 51 podium finishes.

“I’m super excited to be back with Juncos Hollinger Racing for the 2026 INDY NXT season,” Escotto said. “I have a great relationship with everyone in the team and full trust that they will make this season one to remember.

“INDY NXT by Firestone offers the most competitive and direct pathway to the top level, and I’m proud to represent both JHR and Mexico on this stage. I feel more prepared and motivated than ever, and ready to make the most of this opportunity as I continue building toward my ultimate goal of racing full time in INDYCAR. I can’t wait to get started at the first test in Sebring.”

Said Dave O’Neill, JHR team principal: “Ricardo is a talented and highly motivated young driver who has demonstrated consistent growth and resilience at every step of his career. He brings a strong work ethic and a clear determination to reach the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. INDY NXT by Firestone is about development and performance, and we believe Ricardo has the mindset and capability to make the most of this opportunity with our team.”

Escotto and JHR will ramp up offseason testing and development in the coming months, with the opening round of the 2026 INDY NXT by Firestone season set for March 1 on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida.
