Five INDY NXT by Firestone drivers will sharpen their tools Sunday, June 25 by competing in the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race at Watkins Glen International in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York.

The most intense competition among drivers in INDYCAR’s development series will take place in the LMP2 prototype class. Series leader Nolan Siegel, race winner Christian Rasmussen, veteran Kyffin Simpson and rookie Josh Pierson – all teammates with HMD Motorsports in INDY NXT by Firestone – are racing on separate teams in the ultra-competitive class on the 3.4-mile natural road course.

Siegel will share the No. 04 Crowdstrike Racing car with George Kurtz and Indianapolis 500 veteran Ben Hanley in the six-hour race that’s one of four marquee events that comprises IMSA’s Michelin Endurance Cup this season, joining the completed Rolex 24 At Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring and the Petit Le Mans later this season.

Simpson is driving the No. 8 Tower Motorsports prototype with Salih Yoluc and Will Stevens. Rasmussen will aim for victory in the No. 18 Era Motorsport car with co-drivers Ryan Dalziel and Dwight Merriman.

Pierson, who also competes in the World Endurance Championship around the globe, will race this weekend with John Falb and Giedo van der Garde in the No. 35 TDS Racing machine.

The LMP3 prototype class also will have an INDY NXT by Firestone presence through series veteran Rasmus Lindh, who will share the No. 85 JDC Miller MotorSports car with Till Bechtolsheimer and Dan Goldburg.

Live coverage starts at 10:30 a.m. ET Sunday on Peacock, with the broadcast moving to the USA Network from 2-5 p.m.
