Scott Dixon and Sebastien Bourdais

Foyt, Andretti and Unser are among the luminary names of Indy car racing.

It’s time to add another one – Dixon.

When it comes to Indy car race wins, only A.J. Foyt, Mario Andretti, Michael Andretti and Al Unser Sr. have more than reigning Verizon IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon, who has 38 victories in his 15-year career (37 INDYCAR wins and one CART win).

Dixon’s three wins in 2015 not only clinched his fourth series title, but also broke a tie he held with Bobby Unser for sixth all-time on the wins chart. The New Zealander will tie Al Unser Sr. with his next Indy car win and is four behind Michael Andretti (42) for third on the all-time list. Foyt’s 67 wins remain an all-time best.

But Dixon isn’t the only active Verizon IndyCar Series driver among the top 10 in career race wins.

Sebastien Bourdais’ 2015 victory at Milwaukee was his 34th Indy car win (31 Champ Car and three INDYCAR wins) and tied him with Al Unser Jr. for seventh on the all-time list. A win in 2016 would tie the Frenchman with “Uncle Bobby” Unser for sixth on the all-time list.

Meanwhile, two Team Penske drivers also find themselves climbing the chart.

Helio Castroneves went winless in 2015, but could become just the 11th driver with 30 career Indy car wins should he find Victory Lane in 2016, while Will Power earned his 25th win in 2015, tying Gordon Johncock for 15th all-time.

Among the legendary drivers Power could reach with at least one win in 2016: Rodger Ward and Johnny Rutherford.
