This weekend, the NTT INDYCAR SERIES heads to the Lone Star State and Texas Motor Speedway for the first doubleheader weekend of 2021. However, this isn't the first time TMS has hosted a doubleheader weekend.

When the 2011 IZOD IndyCar Series season schedule was announced, Texas Motor Speedway introduced a new wrinkle. The newly-named Firestone Twin 275s -- formerly the Firestone 550k -- consisted of two 30-car, full-field 275-kilometer races, with two race winners recognized.

Dario Franchitti qualified on pole for Race 1, and blistered his way to Victory Circle, leading 110 of the 114 laps. In the nightcap race, following the blind draw for qualification order, points leader Will Power made a quick evasive move to avoid disaster just before his final pit stop Saturday night at Texas Motor Speedway and held on for his first victory on an oval track.

For this week's Classic Rewind, we throw it back ten years to 2011 for the Firestone Twin 275's. Enjoy!
