In 2000, Helio Castroneves joined Team Penske to start a fabled, 21-year career with the team. It wasn't an easy start, having only scored points once in his first six races with the team. His first career win in Detroit might have been considered a gift due to a mechanical issue with Juan Pablo Montoya. However, he silenced ALL critics with his masterful performance in 2000 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, the first of two consecutive wins at the historic road course.
