Mike Conway, who will compete in the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio this weekend, will make his FIA World Endurance Championship race debut at Austin, Texas, on Sept. 20.

In addition to driving the No. 20 Fuzzy's Vodka car for Ed Carpenter race on Verizon IndyCar Series road/street circuits this season, Conway has been a Toyota Racing test and reserve driver. Conway has two victories this season, including the most recent race on the streets of Exhibition Place in Toronto.

The Englishman will drive the the No. 7 TS040 Hybrid in place of Kazuki Nakajima, who has conflicting Super Formula duties in Japan, in the six-hour race at Circuit of the Americas. He's drive the car during winter testing and has raced at Circuit of the Americas in 2013, winning the LMP2 class of an American Le Mans Series race.

“I’m really pleased to be given the chance to race a TS040 Hybrid at the Circuit of the Americas and I cannot wait to get started," Conway said. "It should be great fun to race at the front in Austin. I’d like to thank the team for giving me this opportunity; we are fighting for the World Championship and I will do everything I can to contribute to that. I’m ready for this challenge and looking forward to showing what I can do.”
