2026 Preview: Juncos Hollinger Racing
Note: This continues a series of 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES team previews on INDYCAR.com. The season starts Sunday, March 1 with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg (noon ET, FOX, FOX One, FOX Deportes, FOX Sports app, INDYCAR Radio Network).
Starting Lineup: Rinus VeeKay (No. 76 Juncos Hollinger Racing Chevrolet), Sting Ray Robb (No. 77 Juncos Hollinger Racing Chevrolet)
2025 in Review: It was another season of change for Juncos Hollinger Racing, which fielded two new drivers in 2025. Sting Ray Robb replaced Romain Grosjean in the No. 77 entry, while Conor Daly took over the No. 76. Daly delivered a solid campaign, recording four top-10 finishes, highlighted by an eighth-place result in the 109th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge. He led 51 laps in 17 races during the season -- 36 of them at Indianapolis -- and although he finished 18th in the championship standings, his 268 points marked the highest single-season total by a JHR driver. The previous record belonged to Callum Ilott, who scored 266 points while finishing 16th during the 17-race 2023 season. Ovals proved to be a particular strength for Daly. He finished sixth at World Wide Technology Raceway, seventh in the opening Iowa Speedway doubleheader after qualifying on the front row and fifth at Nashville Superspeedway after starting 25th. Robb earned one top-10 finish, a ninth-place result at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, and finished 25th in the championship standings.
New for ’26: Robb returns for a second consecutive season, while VeeKay (photo, bottom) joins the team in the other entry, replacing Daly. VeeKay reunites with team co-owner Ricardo Juncos, who guided him to the 2018 USF Pro 2000 championship and a runner-up finish in the 2019 INDY NXT by Firestone standings.
Keep an Eye on This: VeeKay is one of the season’s most intriguing storylines. He is betting on himself after an impressive 2025 campaign with Dale Coyne Racing, where he finished 14th in the standings, the team’s best result since 2019. Rather than returning, VeeKay moved to Juncos Hollinger Racing, another small but ambitious organization still chasing its first NTT INDYCAR SERIES victory. This is a pivotal year for both sides. VeeKay believes he can deliver a breakout season, but is that enough to position JHR as a springboard with several top-tier seats expected to open in 2027? If he moves again, it would mark four teams in four seasons. A return in 2027 remains possible, but everything hinges on what VeeKay delivers in 2026. History provides a clear benchmark to chase: Ilott’s 16th-place points finish in 2023 remains the best in team history.
Little-Known Fact: This marks the first time Robb has returned to the same INDYCAR SERIES team for a second season. In fact, the only other time he returned to a team in his professional career came in 2019-20 in USF Pro 2000 when he won the 2020 championship. That team? Juncos Hollinger Racing.
