Note: This continues a series of 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES team previews on INDYCAR.com. The season starts Sunday, March 1 with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg (noon ET, FOX, FOX One, FOX Deportes, FOX Sports app, INDYCAR Radio Network).

Starting Lineup: Felix Rosenqvist (No. 60 SiriusXM Honda), Marcus Armstrong (No. 66 SiriusXM Honda).

2025 in Review: It was a standout season, highlighted by Rosenqvist finishing sixth in the standings with Armstrong eighth. The drivers were fourth and sixth in the series in laps completed, and Armstrong was third in races led with seven. They also were among the seven drivers to post 10 or more top-10 finishes during the 17-race campaign. Rosenqvist opened the season with five top-10 finishes in the first six races, including a fourth-place finish in the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge. On two occasions during the season, he stood fourth in the standings. The Swede earned a spot on the Road America podium by finishing a season-high second. His best qualifying effort was at Iowa when for the doubleheader he earned the third and second starting positions, respectively. He also started on the front row at Portland. While Rosenqvist’s first half was strong, Armstrong was better in the second half. A sixth-place finish in Detroit started a string of six consecutive top-10 finishes that became nine in the final 11 races. His best qualifying effort was third in Toronto.

New for ’26: Lofty expectations. Given the level of year-over-year continuity, Rosenqvist and Armstrong believe more can be achieved this season. That doesn’t necessarily mean a significant jump in the standings because, as they noted, this is the deepest and most competitive form of motorsports on the planet, but they believe they should contend for more podium finishes and race wins, especially on the ovals where they regularly had fast cars last season. Of note, both drivers had only one top-three finish, and they know it will take many more in 2026 to go where they want to go. Said Armstrong, “We were consistently finishing inside the top 10, (but) we weren’t doing anything spectacular, which kind of hurts a bit.” Spectacular is the team’s next step.

Keep an Eye on This: The partnership with Chip Ganassi Racing has been a game-changer for Meyer Shank Racing. That’s how Armstrong, a former CGR employee, landed at MSR for the 2025 season, and Rosenqvist had familiarity, as well, after driving for Chip Ganassi in 2019 and 2020. Last year, the two teams worked together on race weekends and placed four of their five drivers in the top eight of the standings. Look for the cohesion to be even stronger in their second year together.

Little-Known Fact(s): Proof of how complete MSR’s 2025 season was, it was one of four teams to place two drivers in the top eight of the standings. Chip Ganassi Racing had Alex Palou (first) and Scott Dixon (third), Arrow McLaren had Pato O’Ward (second) and Christian Lundgaard (fifth) and Andretti Global had Kyle Kirkwood (fourth) and Colton Herta (seventh). Rosenqvist (photo, below) and Armstrong finished within eight points of one another. They would have been even closer had Armstrong not finished 19th in the season-ending Nashville race.
