Platinum-selling country music star Riley Green will headline the Firestone Legends Day Concert on Saturday, May 25 at the Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park in Indianapolis.
The celebration of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” expands into downtown Indianapolis with the concert held the night before the 108th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge.
“The countdown to the green flag on Race Day is full of unmatched energy and excitement,” IMS President J. Douglas Boles said. “While fans sing along to hits by Riley Green at the Firestone Legends Day Concert at a fantastic venue in downtown Indianapolis, IMS will be ready to welcome more than 300,000 at 6 a.m. the following morning.”

Fans can celebrate Legends Day presented by Firestone at both Indianapolis Motor Speedway and throughout downtown Indianapolis. Legends Day kicks off with the 108th Indianapolis 500 Public Drivers’ Meeting and driver autograph sessions at IMS. Fans then can make their way downtown for the AES 500 Festival Parade and the Firestone Legends Day Concert.
Green has compelled country music fans to raise a drink, shed a tear and, above all, celebrate where they are from since first releasing his self-titled EP in 2018. His songs like the No. 1 platinum hit “There Was This Girl,” the two-time platinum-certified heart-tugger “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” (which he performed live at the 55th ACM Awards) and his chart-topping collaboration with Thomas Rhett, “Half of Me,” have made Green synonymous with what country music does best: making listeners feel something with his no-gimmick, relatable writing and classic feel.
An avid sports fan, outdoors enthusiast and former Jacksonville State University quarterback, Green is riding a wave of success after being named the Academy of Country Music’s 2020 New Male Artist of the Year, a former MusicRow Breakout Artist of the Year, a CMT “Listen Up Artist and one of CRS’s 2020 New Faces.
Green’s latest album, “Ain’t My Last Rodeo,” produced by Dann Huff, is more of the signature Green fans have come to know and love from the good ol’ boy who still lives in his hometown of Jacksonville, Alabama. The project is heavily influenced by the rural, small town he calls home and his slower way of life at home and time spent with his family.
As the Official Tire of Country Music and the Official Tire of the Indianapolis 500, Firestone has served as the presenting sponsor of Legends Day since it debuted in 2014. The partnership brings together two platforms – racing and country music – that have played significant roles in the rich history of the time-tested Firestone brand.
The 108th Indianapolis 500 by Gainbridge is scheduled for Sunday, May 26. Race Day tickets are on sale at IMS.com or by calling or visiting the IMS Ticket Office. General admission tickets for Legends Day presented by Firestone start at $20. This ticket does not include concert admission. IMS gates open at 8 a.m. and close at 3 p.m.
