INDYCAR's "Fast Six" is a report derived from all things found online about Verizon IndyCar Series racing, its drivers and people. We seek and find pics and quips as INDYCAR drivers live their extraordinary lives and put the evidence on Twitter, Instagram and more. Check back regularly when we post the latest.

Are you talkin’ to me?

Josef Newgarden is, of course, focused on winning the Verizon IndyCar Series championship. But judging from this hilarious video posted last week by SB Nation (and then reposted by anyone who watches Josef’s Twitter feed), there’s hope for him as an actor, too.

Eye of the tiger

With the championship battle full on with three races remaining, Taylor Ballantyne’s amazing photos of the contenders started posting last weekend on Sports Illustrated’s Instagram accounts. Talk about having the eye of the tiger. to view the entire SI photo gallery, click here.

RIP Jerry Lewis

Iconic comedian Jerry Lewis, who died Sunday at age 91, reached generations of fans with his performances. Josef Newgarden and JR Hildebrand paid their respects.

Dark side of the moon

It didn’t get completely dark at the Ed Carpenter Racing shop in Speedway, Indiana, during the solar eclipse on Monday, but the amazing phenomenon was visible and the ECR crew clearly didn’t want to miss it. We’re not sure what Ed was doing there – maybe asking the cosmos for some luck in his final race behind the wheel this season at Gateway Motorsports Park on Saturday.

Save yourself

Fans are still buzzing with kudos over James Hinchcliffe’s amazing save last weekend in the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway. Drivers were impressed, too.

The honeymooners

Newlyweds Max and Chloe Chilton are still celebrating their Aug. 12 wedding, but they apparently have moved the party from England to New York City as he prepares for the end of the Verizon IndyCar season. Love is lovely, don’t you think?

Crazily hot in NY today. 🍎🚣🏼
