Arie Luyendyk and JR Hildebrand

INDYCAR's "Fast Six" is a report derived from all things found online about Verizon IndyCar Series racing, its drivers and people. We seek and find pics and quips as INDYCAR drivers live their extraordinary lives and put the evidence into tweets, Instagram posts and more. Check back regularly when we post the latest.

Down to there, hair

Perhaps it’s the promise of this weekend’s Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach or all the track time they’ve gotten recently, but Verizon IndyCar Series drivers are funnier online than usual this week.

For example, how did JR Hildebrand think of this and who knew Arie Luyendyk was his possible doppelganger?

And, of course, the two-time Indianapolis 500 winner had a perfectly coiffed response:

#winnersdrinkmilk

With Rev – the sold-out party that kicks off the month of May at Indianapolis Motor Speedway – just a month away, the American Dairy Association and Methodist Health Foundation are running a social media campaign to raise money for IU Health. #winnersdrinkmilk has cool prizes, too, including a once-in-a-lifetime chance for a fan to take a picture with the winner of the 101st Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil on the day after the race and, of course, tickets to Rev.

Rev driver chairman Josef Newgarden had plenty of fun helping Carol Howard, the event’s executive director, show fans how to enter. Rev is May 6 at IMS.

Going back to Cali

It’s no secret that Charlie Kimball loves his Hoosier home. But he’s also sweet on California, where he grew up and met his wife, Kathleen, when they were in in high school. That California kid is taking in beach views before this weekend’s Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Lucky Loki!

Look for a new kind of sponsor this weekend on Spencer Pigot’s Ed Carpenter Racing No. 20 Chevrolet. Loki the Wolfdog and his 1.4 million Instagram followers are on board, making the cool creature the driver’s best friend on Sunday. We’ll see him around the track!

Hollywood nights

Marco Andretti is prepping for the grand prix from the Hollywood hills, but only after a family dinner with Grandpa. And by Grandpa, we mean legend, as in Mario Andretti.

Goodnight ✌🏽

Mini Mello

Looks like Conor Daly found a young fan who shares his love of EDM. We’ll see them both in May, but recommend that Mini Mello wait a few years before entry into the Indy 500 Snake Pit presented by Coors Light.
