Marco Andretti and Marta Krupa

Roman holiday

Scott Dixon took advantage of two consecutive off weekends from the Verizon IndyCar Series to vacation in Rome with his wife, Emma, and their daughters, Poppy and Tilly. From the looks of things, stops included Vatican City, the Colosseum and the Spanish Steps.

Endless vacation

Max Chilton also used the time off to head home, across the pond. His Instagram feed, sent from Cornwall, is the stuff of which English dreams are made.

Hart to heart

Everybody knows Marco Andretti is a good friend of funny man Kevin Hart, so it stands to reason that the Verizon IndyCar Series driver and his fiancée, Marta Krupa, were in Santa Barbara, Calif., last weekend when Hart exchanged wedding vows with Eniko Parrish.

The bride wore Vera Wang lace, while – judging from Andretti’s Instagram – guests showed up in breezy California casual looks.

While Andretti heads back to work this week, racing in the ABC Supply 500 on Sunday, the Harts will cheer for him in the proverbial slow lane as they honeymoon in St. Barts.

Meanwhile, all this wedding talk makes us wonder when and where Andretti and Krupa will tie the knot. No news, so far, on those plans.

Monster jam

Ryan Hunter-Reay and his wife, Beccy, packed up their racing family and went, well, racing. Ryan and sons Ryden and little Rocsen looked right at home at Monster Jam, big tires and all.

(Not) Working for the weekend

To everyone who wasn’t on vacation last week, Simon Pagenaud took time to wish the Internet a happy day on Friday. Pagenaud should be pretty happy, as he remains on top in the championship points heading into this race weekend.

Dream car

It takes a lot of car to impress an INDYCAR driver. Especially Graham Rahal, who spends his spare time buying, selling and driving some of the world’s best sports cars. Checking out his Instagram feed, we wonder if this is the next addition to Rahal’s garage.
