Verizon IndyCar Series champions and Indianapolis 500 winners Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan joined race-winning drivers Marco Andretti, Ryan Briscoe, James Hinchcliffe, Ed Carpenter and others in competing in the second Dan Wheldon Memorial Pro-Am Karting Challenge at New Castle (Ind.) Motorsports Park.
Funds raised from the two-hour endurance race and donations are directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, which Wheldon supported after his mother was diagnosed with the disease in 2008. Our photographers captured the on- and off-track activity:
