LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Marco Andretti recorded the quickest lap during the first IZOD IndyCar Series practice session for the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.

A second session was scheduled for 5:15-6:15 p.m. (ET) depending on the weather. Periodic showers and gusts hit the area at daybreak.
