Still has Indy on his mind

Pietro Fittipaldi was in good spirits upon his arrival in Indianapolis, where he is going through rehabilitation to recover from a broken left leg and broken right ankle sustained in a sports car crash that is forcing him to miss driving in the Indianapolis 500. Harding Racing driver Gabby Chaves talked with “legendary” golfer Al Unser Jr., who also happens to be the team’s driving coach, at the Brickyard Crossing Golf Course. Check out “The Amazing Unsers: From Albuquerque to Indianapolis” exhibit at the IMS Museum running through Oct. 28.

Mother’s Day tribute

On Sunday, Ryan Hunter-Reay remembered his mom, Lydia, who died of cancer in 2009. Race fans can contribute to the cause and have a blast at the same time on May 25, when Speedway Indoor Karting blocks away from Indianapolis Motor Speedway hosts Carb Day Karting for Cancer.
