Verizon IndyCar Series driver Jack Hawksworth answers questions from Iowa Speedway ticket holders during his stint in the track's ticket office

NEWTON, Iowa – “Iowa Speedway, this is Jack,” Verizon IndyCar Series driver Jack Hawksworth says in answering the phone.

The recently-named A.J. Foyt Racing driver has been recruited by the “World’s Fastest Short Track” to  help answer questions about season ticket renewals for the track’s 2015 season, which includes the Verizon IndyCar Series’ Iowa Corn Indy 300 on July 18.

Working with the track’s ticket manager, Chris Brown, he fielded questions from Elaine from Mason City, who tells the Englishman that she and her family have held tickets at the track for eight years.

“She’s was excited and looking forward to coming back to the track,” Hawksworth said. “I think she was a little confused to hear me on the phone. Wasn’t quite sure who it was, but once she figured out I was a driver she was excited.”

As part of Iowa Speedway’s #FansWithBenefits campaign, Hawksworth asks Elaine if she received her renewal package, which includes a ring box containing a lugnut. A sign that the track wants to be more than friends with their fans.

“It’s all about relationships,” track president Jimmy Small explained.

The mid-July race weekend also includes the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires and the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires.
