LEXINGTON, Ohio – Kellogg’s provided the cereal. Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course provided the milk and utensils. Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti provided the appetites.

The Target Chip Ganassi Racing drivers participated in a late-breakfast event Aug. 3 to unveil their images that will featured on limited-edition Kellogg’s brand packaging -- Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes, Pop-Tarts, Rice Krispies Treats and Vrooms cereal -- starting Aug. 19 and available solely at Target stores nationwide.

“As a kid, who didn’t want to be on a cereal box?” said Franchitti, the reigning IZOD IndyCar Series champion. “I loved Frosted Flakes as a kid, so I’m pretty excited for that one.”

New tire spec for Mid-Ohio course

The Firestone Firehawk primary and alternate tire specifications are unique to the Mid-Ohio course.

The alternate tire spec features differing compound formulas for the left- and right-side tires. Firestone Racing engineers expect the lap time difference between the primary and alternate specs to be more pronounced this weekend than at most previous road/street events this season.

National Guard Panther Racing salutes women in military

The National Guard Panther Racing team is sporting its “Pink Camo" livery this weekend to honor female soldiers in the National Guard.

Ohio National Guard Adjutant General Deborah Ashenhurst is the only female TAG in the United States and will be attending the race along with a group of Girl Scouts to raise awareness about the prominent role of females in the U.S. military.
