The completion of the Firestone 600 at Texas Motor Speedway, set for Aug. 27 following its June 12 suspension after 71 laps, will provide a variety of unique benefits for attending fans, track officials announced.

The remaining 177 race laps on the 1.455-mile oval are scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. ET Aug. 27 and will air live on NBCSN and the Advance Auto Parts INDYCAR Radio Network. The “Restart Your Engines” schedule will begin with a Verizon IndyCar Series practice session at 5:30 p.m. ET and include an all-driver autograph session on the main concourse at 6:30 p.m.

The 248-lap event was originally scheduled as the ninth race of the 2016 season, on the evening of June 11. Wet track conditions forced postponement to the following day. Seventy-one laps were completed June 12 with James Hinchcliffe of Schmidt Peterson Motorsports leading when rain returned to the Fort Worth, Texas, facility. The race was suspended at that point, where it will be resumed Aug. 27.

All frontstretch seating for the completion will be general admission, including premium sections. Tickets from the original race weekend will be honored but specific seat assignments are void due to the general admission seating policy.

Texas Motor Speedway is offering several incentives for fans who do not have tickets. General admission tickets are available for $28, representing a 29 percent reduction (equal to how much of the race has already been run) from the least expensive initial Firestone 600 ticket. Tickets for children 12 and under are $10.

Another offer allows two tickets, a Racing Electronics scanner rental and two sets of earbuds for $49. In addition, fans purchasing tickets to the Nov. 6 NASCAR Cup race at TMS earn a free general admission ticket to the Firestone 600 completion.

“Our loyal and dedicated fans went through a challenging race weekend in June due to the two days of inclement weather, and we wanted to show the speedway’s appreciation to them in a variety of ways for the completion of the Firestone 600 on Aug. 27,” said Eddie Gossage, Texas Motor Speedway president. “We want them to come back and enjoy some incredible racing at 220 mph as well as various discounts and perks to enhance the evening.

“For those who did not attend the Firestone 600 in June, this is a great bargain to see what Indy car racing is all about and see some of the fastest racing in the world.”

Gates open to the public on 5 p.m. ET Aug. 27. Other perks available include:

  • Levy Restaurants offering $1 hot dogs and Coca-Cola beverages at select areas on the frontstretch concourse while supplies last.
  • The first 3,000 fans receiving a free vintage INDYCAR t-shirt at a designated area on the Gate 4 concourse. Free souvenir race programs from the original June event will also be available while supplies last.
  • Fans that purchased outside camping for the June 11 Firestone 600 will be upgraded to available prime camping spots in the infield at no charge. Camping opens at 4 p.m. ET Aug. 26 and closes Aug. 28.
  • The pits and garage area will be open to all fans at the conclusion of the race.
