INDYCAR Fans

INDYCAR fans can show their gratitude and commitment to charity through participating in Giving Tuesday on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021.

Giving Tuesday is a worldwide celebration of generosity. It’s an opportunity for people around the world to come together through generosity in all its forms by sharing acts of kindness and giving their voice, time, money, goods, and advocacy to support communities and causes.

Among the causes that NTT INDYCAR SERIES fans are encouraged to support today are two official INDYCAR charities – the American Red Cross and the All Clear Foundation.

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.

The All Clear Foundation is working to ensure first responders have the “all clear” when it comes to their personal safety. Its mission is clear: Improve the life expectancy and well-being of all first responders.

Fans can donate to the Red Cross here, with a corporate partner providing matching funds up to $250,000 on Giving Tuesday. Donations to the All Clear Foundation can be made here.

NTT INDYCAR SERIES driver and legendary seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson also was doing his part Tuesday, appearing on “CBS This Morning” and SiriusXM to encourage participation in Giving Tuesday through his sponsor, The American Legion.

“Today is a cool day,” Johnson said. “It’s really neat that it exists and allows many to be reminded of the great causes that are out there and the need that exists. It’s very apparent to us with the pandemic and all the issues that are going on, but many have been hit hard during the pandemic and there are a lot of other needs and causes prior to (the pandemic).

“I’ve had an incredible year in the INDYCAR SERIES getting to know our partners, including The American Legion, and to understand the true need that exists with our veterans who return from service. Suicide is one of the biggest issues we have with veterans returning.”

It starts with giving, and today is a great day to do so.
