Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires - Default Livery

At 17, Kyffin is the youngest driver in Indy Lights. He’s also might be the Caribbean’s most promising racer.

Born in Barbados and based in the Cayman Islands, Kyffin began his racing journey at 9 and secured his first championship victory the very same year in the Barbados Karting Association. In 2021, he won the Formula Regional Americas title and was named a member of the HPD GT Academy.

Kyffin has competed in European and United States karting, F4 and Formula Regional and made his first foray in sports car races at the 2022 Rolex 24 At Daytona.

Away from the track, Kyffin has embraced the Cayman Island lifestyle. He enjoys kitesurfing, surfing, swimming, cycling, training and wears “baggies” (shorts) almost everywhere he goes.

“I’m proud of my Caribbean roots, and I really feel connected with the people of Cayman. It’s cool to fly the flag on the side of my car, especially as most people don’t know what it is!”

Established midway through the 2019 INDY NXT by Firestone season, HMD Motorsports has built a championship- and race-winning operation.

Building off experience in the Road to Indy ladder system, HMD Motorsports officially formed for Round 12 of the 2019 season at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. In its abbreviated seven-race schedule, HMD Motorsports drivers finished on the podium five times and claimed one race win.

Based out of Brownsburg, Indiana, HMD Motorsports has added several highly experienced personnel as well as a complete shop-based crew, marketing and promotional firm, videographer and more.

In a partnership with Global Racing Group, the program grew from two to four cars in 2021 and the team claimed 11 wins and the 2021 team championship. It expanded further in 2022 and won the 2022 INDY NXT driver’s championship and recently announced plans to build a 65,000-square-foot headquarters in Brownsburg.
