Conor Daly

Conor Daly will rejoin Carlin to drive the team's No. 59 Chevrolet this weekend in the Genesys 300 and XPEL 375 at the Texas Motor Speedway.

Indiana native Daly, 29, is sharing driving duties of the team's car for the third consecutive season in Texas before Max Chilton returns for the GMR Grand Prix on May 14 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Daly enjoyed a strong result last season with Carlin at Texas Motor Speedway, finishing sixth.

The Genesys 300 starts at 7 p.m. (ET) Saturday, May 1, and the XPEL 375 starts at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 2 on the high-banked oval at TMS. Both races will be broadcast live on NBCSN and the INDYCAR Radio Network.

Daly enjoyed several highlights with the team last season, including a career-first NTT P1 Award after claiming pole in the first race of last year’s double-header at Iowa Speedway. He also qualified third for the second race that weekend.

“I’m very excited and thankful to be back with Carlin for this weekend," Daly said. "It’s a package with which we’ve accomplished a lot together in a short amount of time, and I’m excited to get back to work with the guys. I appreciate the opportunity and thank Chily (team owner Grahame Chilton) and Trevor (Carlin) for the support and entrusting me with the car once again and also Power Plus! for joining me this weekend.”

Said team owner Grahame "Chily" Chilton: “We’re very pleased to have Conor back with the team. We’ve enjoyed some successful races together in the past, and we’re aiming to continue where we left off with our oval form.”

Daly will race with the backing of personal sponsor Power Plus! this weekend. Power Plus provides temporary power systems for the construction industry ranging from residential and commercial developments to civil engineering projects. With locations in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, New Jersey and Texas, Power Plus! has installed over 250,000 power poles and hung over 21 million feet of electrical wire in the last 10 years alone.

After this weekend's races at Texas, Daly will return to Ed Carpenter Racing to drive for the team in the GMR Grand Prix and the 105th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on Sunday, May 30. He drives the No. 20 U.S. Air Force Chevrolet for ECR in all the road- and street-course races in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.
