#IndyCarCares with One Cure

Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Graham Rahal will rock a new livery at Portland to support One Cure. On top of that, he’ll be donating his winnings to the Flint Animal Cancer Center at Colorado State University that started the One Cure initiative that uses clinical trials in animals to benefit cancer treatment for humans and pets.

Bourdais switches it up

Say goodbye this week to the black and yellow Team SealMaster livery for Sebastien Bourdais. Say hello to a bold purple Gorilla Automotive Products get-up for the No. 18 Dale Coyne Racing with Vasser-Sullivan Honda. We’re going ape over the look.

Liz and Will make a Power-ful couple

While Will Power was wrapping up his third win of the season Saturday night in the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 presented by Axalta and Valvoline, wife Liz was caught on camera nervously chewing a water bottle in pit lane at Gateway Motorsports Park. Once they reunited in victory lane, though, all those nerves were replaced by joy.

They’re SO happy.

TK shouts out the young gun

After Zach Veach’s impressive drive to fifth place at Gateway, he received deserved praise from INDYCAR fans and drivers alike. Just look at this shout-out from one of the all-time greats on short ovals.

Racing bowties

The INDYCAR community had some fun with #NationalBowtieDay on Twitter. Carlin’s Charlie Kimball and Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden both showed off their “bowties” – their Chevrolet-powered cars.

Winging it for Wickens

Soon after the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 wrapped up Saturday night, INDYCAR drivers Marco Andretti, Josef Newgarden and James Hinchcliffe, along with Hinchcliffe’s fiancée Becky Dalton, were on a jet to visit injured friend and fellow driver Robert Wickens. Numerous events throughout the Gateway weekend rallied fans around the recovering Schmidt Peterson Motorsports driver.

The cause went global, with retired Formula One drivers David Coulthard and Mark Webber, the DTM touring car series where Wickens previously drove, and Canadian Tire Motorsports Park outside Toronto all showing displays of support for the recovering fan favorite.
