2018 REV Chair Graham Rahal

Verizon IndyCar Series standout Graham Rahal will serve as the honorary chairman for Rev presented by Fifth Third Bank on Saturday, May 5, on the grounds of the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Rev, an annual celebration that kicks off the month of May at IMS, brings approximately 3,000 revelers to the track one week before the INDYCAR Grand Prix and three weeks before the famed Indianapolis 500. The event involves more than 60 of Indianapolis’ best restaurants, all offering bites from their menu items, and 20 entertainment acts, including a DJ in the iconic IMS flag stand who turns the racetrack’s start/finish line into a dance floor.

“Rev is the perfect way to celebrate the arrival of May in style with INDYCAR drivers and the city’s best food paired together at the Racing Capital of the World,” said Indianapolis Motor Speedway President Doug Boles. “Graham will be an excellent host for this year’s event and a great spokesperson for the worthy causes supported by IU Health.”

Rev is Indiana University Health’s largest annual fundraiser. In 2017, it raised more than $800,000. Funds raised support Indiana University Health statewide trauma and critical care programs. These funds provide care for drivers and patrons at the Indiana University Health Emergency Medical Center located at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and for patients across Indiana in need of critical care.

“The community support that surrounds Rev is humbling to all of us at IU Health and it is a big reason why this event is so successful,” said Crystal Miller, chief philanthropy officer at IU Health. “We are honored to host the party that kicks off the month of May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Graham Rahal is a wonderful spokesperson. He will be the perfect honorary chairman.”

Tickets for the event are $300 per person and can be purchased at revindy.org.
