Simon Pagenaud

INDYCAR’s “Fast Six” is a report derived from all things found online about Verizon IndyCar Series racing, its drivers and people. We seek and find pics and quips as INDYCAR drivers live their extraordinary lives and put the evidence into tweets, Instagrams and more. Check back regularly when we post the latest.

To "hell" and back

You’ve probably already blown your New Year’s resolution to get in shape, but Simon Pagenaud hasn’t. The 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series champion has resolved to defend his title and is shaming all of us in the process with his preparations.

2017 will be Tony Kanaan’s 20th year as an Indy car racer. Here’s the logo he’ll use throughout the season to mark the occasion. (He’s also planning to give away prizes!)

Racers in a winter wonderland

Winter came to North Carolina last week, giving Will Power a chance to experience snow with his new son Beau for the first time.

Beau's first day in the snow....doesn't seem too fussed.

JR Hildebrand lives in Boulder, Colorado, so he’s used to winter conditions. It doesn’t stop him from hopping on the mountain bike for some riding, either.

Winter offseason training occasionally includes fatbike wheelies.

Marco Andretti and friends used wintry conditions in Pennsylvania to do a little four-wheeling around the driveway of his house.

A Mayor to all citizens, even furry ones

While on vacation in the Caribbean, James Hinchcliffe saw to the care of the furriest and likely cutest citizen of Hinchtown. Beach life wasn’t for the pup and there’s no word on if further care of the “citizen” will now fall on Conor Daly, now that Hinch is back home again in Indiana.

Living large in La-La Land

Alexander Rossi is living the dream life in Southern California. The dream of a small boy, that is. Here is a recap of a big day out for the Indy 500 winner.

Later he showed us he escaped, too.

Got trapped in another room (or two) last night. Good thing we are really good at escaping.

Got a case of the Mondays on a Wednesday?

Maybe life would be better for all of us if Helio Castroneves was our life coach. The three-time Indianapolis 500 champion provides a little “Monday Motivation” for us all.
