James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess

INDYCAR’s “Fast Six” is a weekly report derived from all things found online about Verizon IndyCar Series racing, its drivers and people. We seek and find pics and quips as INDYCAR drivers live their extraordinary lives and put the evidence into tweets, Instagrams and more. Check back every week when we post the latest.

A trophy’s trophy

Returning to Watkins Glen International on Sunday had the paddock buzzing with glee and its social media accounts followed suit. Keeping with Finger Lakes region racing tradition, Chip Ganassi Racing celebrated Scott Dixon’s win with dinner at the historic Seneca Lodge. Thanks to Dixon’s engineer, Chris Simmons, his winner’s wreath scored a place of honor among the eclectic décor.

Dressing the part

Elsewhere at Watkins Glen, INDYCAR’s foodie driver Simon Pagenaud, also the current points leader in the Verizon IndyCar Series championship, found a fan who understands him.

Sharna Burgess, ladies and gentlemen

Gorgeous choreographer and dancer Sharna Burgess, James Hinchcliffe’s partner for “Dancing with the Stars,” is charming racing fans everywhere as she supports INDYCAR’s #Vote4Hinch campaign. The pair are making weekly Facebook Live videos and, from our corner of the internet, their dance moves are looking good.

Winning the polls

They are already building their #TeamStopAndGo #Vote4Hinch fan base. As we publish this, they are already gaining in the polls.

The need for speed

Speaking of winning, Indianapolis 500 winner Alexander Rossi is repping the Verizon IndyCar Series nicely while tweeting with Olympic gold-medal skier Lindsey Vonn, who was corrected when she suggested that F1 racing is faster than INDYCAR racing.

She recovered nicely, though.

Don’t bite off more than you can chew
