INDYCAR interrupts Juan Pablo Montoya's preparation for the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit Presented by Quicken Loans for an Indianapolis 500 Victory Tour.

First stop on the three cities in three days whirlwind was a guest appearance on ABC's "Good Morning America" in New York.

"I'm busy this week. (After) New York, we're going to Dallas. Then I go to Detroit," said Montoya, who won the 99th Indianapolis 500 Mile Race by 0.1046 of a second over Will Power -- the fourth-closest finish in race history. "Just focus on the job at hand."

Following New York appearances, which include ringing the bell to open the New York Stock Exchange, it's off to Fort Worth, Texas, for a media dinner hosted by Texas Motor Speedway president Eddie Gossage (the Firestone 600 is June 6). On May 28, a media luncheon in Detroit precedes next day on-track activity for the doubleheader on the 2.3-mile Belle Isle circuit.

"Then it's time to get in the car and get the job done," said Montoya, whose teammates, Helio Castroneves and Power, provided a Team Penske sweep in 2014. "This week we had a lot of time early in the week to work on Detroit. We looked at set-ups already. We looked at where we want to start, the things we want to try.

"We kept moving forward. You have to. I mean, you never plan on winning. You plan on coming (to Indianapolis) and doing as well as you can. You can't go, 'You're going to win.' Like the wife (on race day), she said, 'I need to organize the bags for New York before the race.' I said, 'What are you smoking?' 

"I do know I had a really good car, I had a good shot at winning. So do a lot of people, so ..."
