Three hours after carrying Andretti Autosport's Ryan Hunter-Reay to his first Indianapolis 500 Mile Race victory on May 25, 2014, the tar-splattered, champagne-soaked Dallara chassis was tucked away in a garage at Indianapolis Motor Speedway while the driver and entourage started their elongated celebration.

Alone it sat -- an afterthought -- following 200 trips across the start-finish line, battling 32 other competitors without a dent, and then dueling the No. 3 entry driven by three-time race winner Helio Castroneves over six fast -- yet interminable -- laps on the 2.5-mile oval. It finished .0600 of a second ahead of Castroneves' steed -- second-closest finish in race history -- at a race average speed of 186.563 mph.

Early the next morning, the No. 28 DHL crew cleaned up the yellow car for an hour's worth of photos on the Yard of Bricks, and later it received proper polishing for the awards banquet that evening at the historic Speedway, where it share the stage with the Borg-Warner Trophy.

Will it return to Victory Circle in the 99th Running of the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race?
