With a lightning-quick pit stop on Baltimore’s Light Street, KV Racing Technology launched its 2013 season, which will feature a new look and new driver pairing.
The team unveiled the 2013 No. 11 KV Racing entry driven by Tony Kanaan and No. 78 Nuclear Clean Air Energy Chevrolet Dallara IZOD IndyCar Series car driven by Simona De Silvestro.
With the Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore as a backdrop, De Silvestro and her crew did a pit stop demonstration on part of the actual race circuit for the Grand Prix of Baltimore, which returns the third straight year in September.
"We're pleased to have Simona and Tony here to ring in another year of great street racing in Charm City," said Greg O'Neill, manager of Race On, the promoter of the Grand Prix of Baltimore presented by SRT. "Labor Day weekend will be here before we know it, and we're looking forward to seeing Simona, Tony and other world-class drivers compete in one of the summer's most exciting sporting events."
De Silvestro’s car will again be backed by Nuclear Clean Air Energy sponsorship, which begins its third season backing De Silvestro. Sponsorship members, Entergy Nuclear and AREVA, Inc. were on hand to promote their involvement in the Nuclear Clean Air Energy national education initiative.

The team also welcomed back partners Plantronics, Bryant Heating and Cooling, American Racing Wheels, WTS, Rev 1, NEI, Lista Office, Itaipava, and Braskem. Jimmy Vasser, KV Racing Technology co-owner is looking forward to the 2013 IndyCar season.
"We had a good season last year, but I think 2013 is going to be much better,” Vasser said. “Tony and Simona are both great drivers and Chevy is a fantastic partner. We look forward to putting on a great show for all our sponsors this season.
