BRASELTON, Ga. -- Gabby Chaves won from the pole three weeks ago at Mazda Raceway, so the young Colombian is looking forward to a repeat performance at Road Atlanta.

Chaves, who will clinch second place in the Star Mazda Championship Presented by Goodyear by starting the 50-minute race Oct. 19 on the 2.54-mile circuit, earned the pole with a lap time of 1 minute, 19.279 seconds in the No. 19 JDC Motorsports car.

"I'm so thankful for this after all the work the JDC Motorsports team put in during the season, all the sacrifices my family has made and all the support from my sponsors," Chaves said. "It's so important to start from the pole here because everybody in the race has nothing to lose and everything to gain, so it's going to be extremely competitive (race)."

Sage Karam in the No. 88 Andretti Autosport car, will start next to Chaves. The series is wrapping up its season with the race at Road Atlanta. Keep track of the race at 3:45 p.m. (ET) with live Timing & Scoring HERE.
