INDYCAR's #FastSix is a report that borrows from all things found online about Verizon IndyCar Series racing, its drivers and people. We find pics, quips and the occasional GIF as INDYCAR drivers live their extraordinary lives and put the evidence on Twitter, Instagram and more. Check back regularly for the latest.
Good on you, James Hinchcliffe and Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, because the world need more of this:
How many kids can say that their uncle is the 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series champion? That will be the fortune of Simon Pagenaud’s newborn nephew, who’ll refer him as “tonton” (which means “uncle” in French in case you aren’t a Francophile). Cool Tonton Pagenaud looks to be getting a good start in his new role. We’re hoping for a snap of the wee one sometime soon.
If you’re looking for Conor Daly this week, try Topgolf in Fishers, Indiana. INDYCAR drivers are never hard to spot and if Graham Rahal joins him, as he suggests he might, it’ll be twice as much racing fun. A word to the wise: read Conor’s tweet and steer clear if you’re in a golf cart.
PARTY LIKE A ROCKSTAR
Marco Andretti knows how to make an entrance (or a departure). They are additionally fun to see when his pals Ice-T and Coco are involved. This pic was snapped Friday when Marco offered his jet to take his friends to Boston for Ice-T’s Art of Rap show.
SAM SCHMIDT’S DOUGHNUT DAY
While most INDYCAR racers are on hiatus, Schmidt Peterson Motorsports co-owner Sam Schmidt is busy breaking speed records in the Arrow SAM car. Champagne all around!
The Max Chilton fashion parade continues on his Instagram account (@maxchilton) and we can’t resist this gorgeous image from the glittery Make-A-Wish U.K. gala.
