33 starters' international tour to promote the '500'

Helio Castroneves will be a guest on ABC's "Good Morning America" and tape an episode of "The Chew" for broadcast May 24 as the three-time Indianapolis 500 Mile Race champion makes the rounds in New York City to promote the May 26 race that will be broadcast by ABC (11 a.m. ET). Castroneves and fellow three-time Indy 500 winner Dario Franchitti have a full day of media activities May 20 in the Big Apple, including interviews with Esquire, Men's Health, Maxim, The New York Times and Men's Journal and CNNi World Sport.
Indianapolis 500 pole winner Ed Carpenter will be in Cincinnati early in the afternoon May 20 before returning to Indianapolis for a spate of personal appearances (including 5:30-6:30 p.m. May 20 at the downtown Indianapolis Marsh store).
As part of AJ Allmendinger's visit to Charlotte, N.C., the first-year Indy 500 competitor who qualified fifth will participate in a Twitter chat at 2:15 p.m. (ET) with The Associated Press. Chime in by using #APRacing at @JennaFryer.
