Rain cancels Barber test for Firestone Indy Lights
MAR 11, 2013
Because of inclement weather March 11, INDYCAR cancelled the Firestone Indy Lights Open Test at Barber Motorsports Park an hour after the facility opened.
"We certainly don't control what the weather does and we didn't have all the luck with it today," said Belardi Auto Racing's Peter Dempsey. "All in all, we had a solid test at Sebring and I feel confident that the Belardi Auto Racing crew will come out fighting at St. Pete."
The season opens March 23 on the streets of St. Petersburg, Fla., as part of the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg weekend. The Firestone Indy Lights race will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network at 11 a.m. (ET) March 24, immediately preceding the IZOD IndyCar Series race.
